Patient living with schizophrenia, documentary portrait
Mental Health International Policy & Advocacy Boehringer Ingelheim

Shaping global policy and patient access for people living with complex mental health conditions

A documentary and patient content repository that headlined the UN General Assembly Mental Health Summit — establishing Boehringer Ingelheim as a purpose-led leader in schizophrenia and mental health.

We created a documentary and repository of supporting content featuring patients and caregivers living with schizophrenia and major depressive disorder — content that became a central feature of the UN General Assembly's Mental Health Summit and a wider international campaign appealing to patient groups and policymakers.

The work headlined policy discussions and roundtable debates at the World Health Assembly in Geneva, repositioning schizophrenia from a clinical condition to a deeply human, lived experience — challenging stigma and sparking empathy at the highest levels of international health policy.

"For the first time, our content didn't just communicate our message — it became the message that others wanted to carry."
